Grill, Pollard, Garmon, Blaney, Lawler and Reaid Are Among Entries
Track PR Report
A full field of top Super Late Model cars and stars will be on hand this Saturday when the US Auto Sales 100 CRA Super Series takes the green flag at Gresham Motorsports Park.
Heading the list of pre-entries for the event will be Augie Grill and Jimmy Garmon. Grill, a Hayden, AL native, won the season-opening CRA event at GMP on March 13 while Garmon was the most recent Super Late Model division winner on the Jefferson, GA half-mile oval on June 19.
With their victories, both drivers earned an automatic starting spot in the World Crown 300 at Gresham Motorsports Park on Sunday, November 14. Saturday’s US Auto Sales 100 winner will also be awarded a spot in the fall racing classic.
Several other top drivers will be joining Grill and Garmon for the US Auto Sales World Series of Speed at GMP this Saturday. Included in that group will be rising young star Ryan Blaney, son of NASCAR driver Dave Blaney; current NASCAR K&N Pro Series driver Jody Lavender; NASCAR Camping World Truck Series veteran Ryan Lawler; and T.J. Reid, who will pilot a Kyle Busch Motorsports entry.
Additional entries have been filed by Bubba Pollard, Jeff Fultz, Jason Hogan, Russell Fleeman and Stephen Nasse.
In all, drivers from eight states have already entered the US Auto Sales 100. A full list of drivers pre-entered for Saturday’s CRA all-green-flag 100-lap event is listed below.
According to CRA officials, several additional entries are expected to be filed by the time the green flag drops Saturday.
In addition to the CRA headline event, Saturday’s US Auto World Series of Speed at GMP will include Outlaw Late Models, Trucks, Renegades, Mini-Stocks and Mini-Cup feature races.
There will also be a special motorcycle thrill show by the Habitual Stunters to round out the exciting night of high-speed action.
On Friday, July 16, GMP will host an open test for all racers competing in Saturday’s US Auto Sales World Series Of Speed. Racer gates open at 4 p.m. and Friday’s test will be from 6-9 p.m. Fan viewing of the test from the GMP Trackside Parking area is free of charge.

Don't forget fans, tonight's U.S. Auto Sales World Series of Speed 100 will be broadcast live on RaceTalkRadio.com at approximately 8:30pm ET. That time, of course, is highly tentative at this point due to weather delays.
While we have a second, we'll go over tonight's SLM procedures.
- 100 green flag laps
- Double-file restarts
- No tire changes allowed unless for approved flats by CRA officials
- The winner of this event gets an automatic starting spot into November's World Crown 300 here at Gresham Motorsports Park. Jimmy Garmon and Augie Grill, both in tonight's field, are already locked in, so if either of them win tonight's feature, no one will get an automatic spot out of tonight's race. _________________ REMEMBER WHO IS DRIVING! |

10:39 RED FLAG: Lap 74 - Donnie Wilson climbed the hill in turn two right into the door of Ben Kennedy. Kennedy's car climbed the outside wall on the backstretch and rode on his left-side door with his tires on the wall all the way down the backstretch. Kennedy landed on all four tires in turn three. He climbed from the car okay. Both Kennedy's and Wilson's cars are pretty hurt and will be out of tonight's race. _________________ REMEMBER WHO IS DRIVING! |
